Matt Miyamoto, Photographer

I went to school for Computer Science, I have a BFA in Applied Visual Design from Oregon State University. Since then, worked as professional webdesigner for over twenty years, then in 2016 I realized I had a passion for photography. Much of my early shoots taken with an iPhone X on portrait mode.

Then in the beginning of 2020, my friend sent a Nikon D810. It was a long road to learn how to use it, but with every shoot I’ve been perfecting my personal style which has been described as Bold and Kinetic.

One of skate friends said that there’s photography that shows what’s happening and then there’s photography you can just ‘feel’ what’s happening.

I decided so in December 2021 I decided to complement my gear by getting a Nikon ZFC, which is now my versatile light weight travel camera.

I use the following equipment for my photography:

  • iPhone 14 Pro Max

  • Nikon ZFC

  • Nikon D810
