I am a photographer based on the Big Island. My foundation is in Computer Science with a BFA in Applied Visual Design from Oregon State University. After twenty years as a professional web designer, I transitioned to photography in 2016.
My style is Bold and Kinetic. I specialize in aerial arts and fire spinning—disciplines defined by high velocity and volatile light. My process is strictly full manual; I control every setting and trigger every shutter beat to hit the 80-millisecond window of a gesture's apex.
I don't rely on burst mode. As another photographer noted after watching me work: "I could take a thousand shots and not do what you did in one."
